Saturday's More San Pedro Letters

Saturday's More San Pedro contained three letters from individuals who support Bob's plans or support a large development at Ponte Vista.

Joe Donato, the new Honorary Mayor listed things he would like to see get done and mentioned that issues involving San Pedro should be dealt with by San Pedrans.

Well, this is about just what I expected from Joe. He may be the new honorary mayor of San Pedro, but there are more of us in OUR community that believe we should have a say on the issues that affect all of us. I don't think Mr. Donato wants to put up a fence to keep us out of the shopping districts in San Pedro. And If Mr. Donato read another letter in that insert, he would have read something from someone who doesn't live in San Pedro.

Herb Zimmer also wrote a letter that appeared today. Herb lives with his wife Arlene, in Rancho Palos Verdes. Arlene is a member of Janice Hahn's Community Advisory Committee for the Ponte Vista project. It looks like Mr. Zimmer was able to get essentially the same letter in an earlier edition of the Daily Breeze this week and also the letter in the More San Pedro.

Louis Dominguez is a co-chair on at least one of Bob's Adivisory Boards. He is in a position to favor whatever Bob wants and it is my opinion that anyone advising Bob is putting their reputation on the line, especially if they wish to remain in good standing within the community.

Because I had no reputation to protect, nor will I need to have one protected when this is all done, I don't think I am risking what so many others supporting Bob and his outrageous plans are putting up.

Mr. Donato, Mr. Zimmer, and Mr. Dominguez have made their support of Bob known. Now let's see if their gamble will pay off.

Anon 1145--With or without the four letter words you make no sense. I request that Mark please zap out the nasty words if possible. We are all adults--are we not #1145?

My my, such language.

MW,
Did you notice in Herb Zimmer's letter to the editor that the town where he resides (RPV as you point out) is not listed under his name? It's usually standard for newspapers to publish the town or city where the letter writer resides underneath his/her name.

It's also common for newspapers to add a brief note after the letter writer's name so readers can be aware of relevant information that the letter writer may have intentionally or inadvertantly left out (such as: "Herb Zimmer owns a printing business in San Pedro and his wife is a member of Janice Hahn's PV Community Advisory Committee").

More evidence of the apparent cost cutting and declining standards of the Daily Breeze/More SP newspapers.

Good point anon 9:50. They also left out the fact that Louis Dominguez is on Bob's Board. Makes me wonder if there isn't a little more to it than cost cutting...

But anyone who thinks that Eastside RPV folks have less of a stake or voice in this is wrong. They are going to be more affected by Ponte Vista than most of Pedro.

If Ponte Vista is built those that will suffer the most are people who live within 2 miles or less from the place. People who live close to Western, Gaffey, Westmont, and Capitol Dr. will really suffer because of the added air and noise pollution.

Thanks Mellonhead and all the decent folks.

Unfortunately to get rid of offensive language I would have to moderate this blog and that is something I do not wish to do, at this time.

If you see any offensive language, chalk it up to Bob and his gang and please ignore it. Whether it is coming from a very disturbed individual who is probably a shill for Bob, or it is from several folks trying as hard as they can to get me angry, they are failing miserably. Miserably is probably how they act around everyone else and they need to go talk to someone from A.A., I should think.

It is just another clear demonstration how Bob and his supporters are doing their best to divide all of us. They will fail, their reputations will be slung into the mud pit, and they will be forced to come up with new excuses how they were all duped.

I for one, am extremely proud of all San Pedrans, residents of eastern R.P.V., Lomita, Harbor City, Harbor Gateway, and other places who have joined together to condemn Bob and his supporters for attempting to steal our quality of life from us and demand things they would not like in their own back yard.

To think that there will very soon be the first 10,000th person who demands that the site remain with it current zoning of R1 is amazing and fantastic!

Last March I thought it couldn't be done. I am so happy and proud of all the folks who have contributed their time, energy, willingness, money, and consideration to do something that might have been thouht of as impossible only months ago, is now something worth continuing to fight for.

No matter how much lies, foul language, and damage Bob's supporters try to do in their failing attempts to bring a huge development to an area it must not be built near, they only demonstrate what is the worst of the area. Supporters of R1, and the fight to keep the quality of life high in OUR community are the best OUR community has to offer and I am so proud of all the folks who have gone out on a limb to support nothing but keeping the zoning as it already is.

If "XXX" doesn't even have the guts to shake my hand, what do you think that foul mouthed Bisno supporter might do? As you can read, Bob is certainly being supported by some very questionable folks, it seems.

I wonder if Bisno is getting his printing done at Herb Zimmer's print shop?

The blog has been infested by a pest. THE BEST WAY TO COMBAT THIS PEST IS TO IGNORE IT. The pest is really impotent and harmless.
