A Short Break

Howdy all,

Thanks for all those who have helped get this blog viewed by over 12,000 folks, even if some of those folks didn't stay long at all.

Some of you will be please that I will take a short break from publishing or commenting on this blog. I will probably be back for an Odds and Ends piece, but some of you will not have me to kick around for a bit.

Thank you to so many of you who have enjoyed this blog or may have learned a thing or two. I will be humbled for all time at what I have read on these pages from interesting and interested individuals.

Almost all of you care about OUR community and is shows in many ways. I hope to be reporting very soon the 10,000th signature on the R1 petition.
To see so many people concerned about keeping OUR community from those less than wonderful individuals who seek to put Bob Bisno in charge of our future, Shoud give us all some pride.

Be well. R1 NO COMPROMISE!

Thank you MW for starting and providing a forum for this hot local topic. People like you make this world a better place! Some of the anonymous posters have been helpful and some not so helpful. What a country! We get to have both! Thank You!

MW,
Don't be gone for too long! I really appreciate your efforts and the time you've put in fighting the Bisno machine, and the community needs you to help continue this fight.

Now that we have some momentum, we can't let up. Even the councilwoman seems to understand the insanity of bisno's greedy, quality-of-life destroying proposal. So even if you don't comment on your blog here, I hope you continue to stay involved. As you know, how hard we fight now will determine the character of OUR community for decades, if not forever.

429 -- NO COMPROMISE

Go Janice Hahn -- if you want a campaign winner for your next office -- keep supporting R-1 at the former navy housing site!

Wow, the Harvard grad needs to take a reading comprehension class. Next office doesn't mean next CC election.

I hope Janice Hahn or her staff reads this thread to see how impotent the bisno shills are. I think she's smart enough to know that if she approves anything near what bisno wants, she will forever lose the support of most of SP, her base. This is an issue that would impact community members directly for years. And if she opposes this developer and keeps R-1, she will solidify her support and set herself up for the future nicely. She could say in her campaign ads that she saved SP and RPV from another short-sighted, greedy developer.

Every neighbor and SP resident I have spoken with says the same thing: "2000 condos, or even 1000 condos on Western -- is the developer crazy!?"

Anon 9:55,
"working poor". Your making me laugh. You are obviously not a member because all you do all day is sit around and pester this blog.

In fact, the price of a unit large enough for a family at Ponte Vista will cost as much as the sfrs in the area!
